What is A2 English?

An elementary user who can handle routine everyday tasks and short, simple conversations.

At A2, a learner can usually…

  • Talk about family, school, daily routine and recent activities in simple terms.
  • Catch the main point of short, clear messages and announcements.
  • Read everyday texts such as menus, timetables and personal emails.
  • Write short notes and messages, joining ideas with words like "and", "but" and "because".
