About the school
Caterham School is one of the country's leading co-educational schools, set in the Surrey Hills. It offers a broad, balanced education with strong academic results, excellent pastoral care and plenty of sport, music, drama and the arts.
Pupils are encouraged to be ambitious, kind and confident in a stimulating, supportive environment, supported by modern facilities and committed teachers.
Boarding is offered in weekly or flexi options, with separate houses for boys and girls. Each house has a Head of House, tutors and a pastoral team, and the boarding facilities have recently been renovated.
The school takes pupils aged 3–18, with entry by assessment and interview. At 11+ and 13+ applicants sit English and Mathematics (and for some a subject test) followed by an interview; Sixth Form entry looks at academic performance, interviews and references. Scholarships and bursaries are available, and Scholar Gateway can advise on any question.
